The new eye center, occupying 6,500 square feet on the new building's first floor, will be one of the largest and most modern eye care facilities in the region. The Kendall-Shepard Eye Center, will include 12 exam rooms, including a minor surgery suite for in-office procedures, and a diagnostic testing suite.

Complete ophthalmology and optometric eye care will be available, from offering glasses and contacts, vision care, and complete medical and surgical eye care. Additionally, Shepard will provide advanced care for conditions the affect the retina, such as diabetes and macular degeneration.

“We've been serving these patients a long time," Dennis Shepard said. “They won't have to drive to Santa Maria, so this will save our patients gas money. We'll be offering all those services offered here in Lompoc."
